Join us for a Concert by WOKE, featuring Boston Jazz greats Stan Strickland on Sax, percussion and vocals, Mitchell Kossak on piano, Akili Jamal Haynes on bass and Greta Bro on vocals. This concert is a fundraiser for immigrants and refugees being held in Juarez, Mexico.
Voces Arts and Healing a collective of expressive arts therapists and psychotherapists dedicated to supporting the educational, nutritional, psycho-emotional and nutritional, needs of Central American refugees living in shelters in Juarez Mexico.
WOKE is an exploratory voyage into the transformative properties of sacred soundscapes, jazz improvisation, intentional lyrics, world soul, rap and more.
This is an opportunity to get out of your mind, awaken your essence through music and movement, and support the courageous refugees of Central America living in poverty in shelters in Juarez, Mexico.
