XYZ of Yoga

March 30, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Yoga, a 5000-year tradition within the human era, is actually based on earlier phylogenetic stages of the animal kingdom. Participants, trained or new to a Yoga practice, will explore these ancient, fundamental positions (asanas) through the lens of developmental movement patterns that are basic to all humans and animals in locomotion.

This three-part workshop of movement, visualization and experiential anatomy will serve to discover the evolutionary underpinnings of Yoga and build a developmental vocabulary for your Asana practice that is sourced from the natural world in overlapping waves.

It is optimal to attend all workshops due to the flow of knowledge being shared. However, do not hesitate to attend, if you must miss a session. We will catch you up!
