SUMMARY:Qigong starts
DESCRIPTION:Suzanne Sweeney offer this new course in Qigong at MAGMA\, Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm. \nQigong is the foundation of martial arts and has its roots in Chinese Medicine and Taoist philosophy. Simply translated\, qigong means cultivation of energy and the cultivation of the skill of moving energy. Abundant energy manifests in the body as high functioning organs\, flexible muscles\, supple joints\, clear thinking\, and balanced emotions. \nA primary goal of Qigong is to strengthen the environment of the body\, i.e.\, build life-force energy\, improve the immune system\, clear stress and tension\, and increase circulation. With regular practice\, Qi begins to flow smoothly through every part of your body. \nQigong imitates the movements of nature and is often considered a form of meditation. \nIt emphasizes the harmony and health of body\, mind\, and spirit. Qigong shifts your nervous system into the parasympathetic state\, which is the state in which your body comes into balance\, repairs\, and heals making Qigong the perfect complement to your current exercise program. \n\nPracticing Qigong will help you: \n\nRelax your mind and body to promote healing\nMove energy to where you need it most\nImprove balance\, mood\, and circulation\n\nAmong the many great things about Qigong are that anyone can do it and tremendous benefits can be realized with minimum time commitment. \nMind calm\, heart open\, body energized is the Qigong state of being. \n\nCHEK Holistic Lifestyle coach\, FDN-P\, Reiki Okuden\, and author of The Optimal Health Cookbook\, Suzanne Sweeney\, teaches people how to improve health & happiness through diet\, Tai Chi & Qi gong\, and relaxation techniques including Reiki and Shamanic healing. Suzanne has trained in various martial arts since 2010 and considers Tai Chi and Qi gong to be a fun and effective path to a better body\, a happier outlook\, and improved overall health. \n  \nhttp://energizebodyandmind.com/tai-chi/
