Whoopi Goldberg once described King’s voice as the last sound she wanted to hear before bed to ensure she had beautiful dreams. With neo-cabaret band What Time Is It\, Mr. Fox? 3rian has released numerous albums and performed throughout the US at notable venues like Club Passim and the ART in Boston; The Duplex\, Dixon Place\, The Stonewall\, Joe’s Pub\, and Irving Plaza in NYC. Their circus show about queer archetypes and stereotypes\, Gravitational Fool\, premiered in the Afterglow Festival in Provincetown.\n \n\n\nRENEE DUPUIS \n\nRenée Dupuis is an active professional vocalist\, songwriter\, and private music teacher. With a degree in vocal performance from the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music\, Renée enjoys a diverse career as a freelance musician\, writing and performing with her acoustic duo Renee & Joe and as a part of What Time is it\, Mr. Fox?. She is also a soloist with the Cape Ann Big Band. She is currently the choral director for Waring School.\n \n\n\nJOE WILKINS \n\nJoe Wilkins is a Cape Ann based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Known locally for his Bluegrass guitar and mandolin skills\, Joe is also a musical storyteller\, crafting songs about real life\, real people\, and situations we can all relate to\, as well as places we’ve all been. His lyrics are universally accessible\, and draw the listener in with skillfully interwoven imagery and narrative—sometimes joyful\, sometimes sorrowful\, but always contemplative. Husband-and-wife violinists Scott Moore and Erica Pisaturo join with twin brothers Charles and George Clements (double bass and guitar\, respectively) to purvey the quartet’s trademark “chamber roots” music: a heady blend of the uptown and the down-home\, all masterfully interwoven into a contagiously fun and engaging experience. The group’s first outing in 2025 is a one-two punch: a contradance with caller Rose Sheehan at MAGMA (Friday\, February 28 at 7pm) followed by a concert at the Annisquam Village Church\, Saturday\, March 1 at 7:30pm.\nMoore\, Pisaturo\, and both Clements all moved to Gloucester around the same time\, just before the pandemic. Since first joining forces in 2022\, they’ve performed together a handful of times\, weaving fresh new arrangements of bluegrass and oldtime Americana along with their own original compositions and a smattering of experimental and classical chamber music.

DESCRIPTION:The Piping Plovers of Moonlight Bay is a 55-minute narrated documentary by Kim Smith that tells the story of the Piping Plover as it unfolds along the North Atlantic coastline. The film features a pair of courageous Plovers that overcome life-threatening obstacles while nesting at one of the region’s most popular beaches. \nOn Sunday March 23 at 4pm\, MAGMA will host a fundraiser to help support the production and distribution of the film. This evening will include a showing of the film and a Q & A with filmmaker Kim Smith. Refreshments will be served. Suggested donation for this event is $50. BUY NOW\, or pay at the door \nEach spring\, northward migrating Atlantic coast Piping Plovers return to breeding sites located from North Carolina to Newfoundland. Amazingly\, nesting often takes place on public beaches\, where anyone can observe their beautiful life story unfolding. But in such areas\, where people enjoy a full range of recreational activities\, nesting and raising chicks is a perilous occupation. \nSet against the backdrop of the ever-dynamic Atlantic shoreline\, the documentary illustrates how conservation partners have provided safe corridors that allow these highly vulnerable birds to raise chicks to fledge at even the most well-loved beaches. \nThe Piping Plovers of Moonlight Bay is a film for all ages\, and was created especially for young people to inspire in them a love for wild creatures and their habitats\, and to develop a deeper understanding of the vital role that wildlife play in our interconnected ecosystem. \nEvery stage of the Plover’s life cycle is experienced in vibrant HD and 4K close-up\, from egg to chick to adult. \nProduction and distribution of The Piping Plovers of Moonlight Bay will be made possible by tax-deductible contributions from individuals\, corporations\, foundations\, and public agencies. \nTo date\, among other generous donations\, we have received a leadership grant of $15\,000 from the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife. \nGifts for The Piping Plovers of Moonlight Bay will support post production and distribution costs\, including re-recording voiceover narration\, color and sound editors\, picture mastering\, studio time\, festival fees and applications\, music and map rights\, and an underwriting agent to bring the film to the wide audience of public television. Our goal is to raise $115\,000.

She performs regularly with the Lobster Cove String Quartet\, Symphony by the Sea (where she is also Orchestra Librarian)\, and as Principal Second Violin with the Cape Ann Symphony. After earning a BA in Music and Art History from Bowdoin College in Brunswick\, Maine\, she escaped the harsh winters to earn an MFA at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah\, Georgia. While in the South\, Erica played violin in a number of professional symphony orchestras\, including the Hilton Head Symphony and Savannah Philharmonic\, both of which she also served as Orchestra Librarian. \nSCOTT MOORE\nScott Moore was born and came of age in rural Kentucky. He began his career as a violinist and composer as a four-year-old in New York. He’s been a soloist with a number of orchestras\, played Mozart for the Archduke of Austria\, and given an impromptu recital in Carnegie Hall for an audience of ghosts. He is currently Concertmaster of the Cape Ann Symphony and Symphony by the Sea\, and Acting Concertmaster at Lexington (MA) Symphony. Since 2022 he has been Artist-in-Residence at the Annisquam Village Church\, where his growing portfolio includes solo and group performances across a range of genres and media. He is a founding member of the Lobster Cove String Quartet\, established in 2023. With his wife\, Erica Pisaturo\, he operates Open String Recordings\, drawing on long experience as a session musician to provide creative\, professional string arrangements for clients including bands and solo artists\, composers\, and filmmakers.

Her original folk songs blend frank vulnerability with insightful social commentary. A classically trained pianist who shifted from Bach to the Indigo Girls\, she brings the lively spirit of a folk festival to her performances\, engaging audiences with a mix of sung and spoken storytelling.\n\nRENEE DUPUIS\n\nRenée Dupuis is an active professional vocalist\, songwriter\, and private music teacher. With a degree in vocal performance from the University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music\, Renée enjoys a diverse career as a freelance musician\, writing and performing with her acoustic duo Renee & Joe and as a part of What Time is it\, Mr. Fox?. She is also a soloist with the Cape Ann Big Band. She is currently the choral director for Waring School.\n\nCHARLEE BIANCHINI\n\nThere are three things that drive my life-momentum: art\, music and travel. I could say that travel is the food\, the nourishment of the former two passions. I travel with purpose\, to see the endless ways that people live their lives\, to find warmth and smiles in the poorest corners\, to cultivate endless understanding and compassion so that I might be a better citizen in a world that is fast growing smaller. Art\, in all its forms\, is the processing of all the information I acquire on the road. Done for both my readers and myself\, I hope that the wonder I find in my journeys does not affect me alone.
