DESCRIPTION:Midwinter Waltz \n\nWaltz the night away with the first edition of what will be a regular occurrence at MAGMA – a folk waltz night! This is not the formal\, ballroom-style waltz. This is the easy going\, easy to learn\, and very fun to do folk waltz – with fabulous live music from Erica Pisaturo and Joey Thieman. If you’ve never waltzed before\, or would like to brush up\, join for a lesson at 6:00 pm\, otherwise come to enjoy the dancing and the music starting at 6:30 pm. \n6:00 pm – Lesson with Miranda Aisling & Ed Dahlmer \n6:30-8:30pm Waltz Dance Social with music from Erica Pisaturo and Joey Thieman \nAll are welcome\, no dancing experience necessary \nTickets $10-30 sliding scale\, available online HERE\, or at the door \n\n\nERICA PISATURO\nErica Pisaturo is a native of New England\, where she began her violin studies at the age of four. She performs regularly with the Lobster Cove String Quartet\, Symphony by the Sea (where she is also Orchestra Librarian)\, and as Principal Second Violin with the Cape Ann Symphony. After earning a BA in Music and Art History from Bowdoin College in Brunswick\, Maine\, she escaped the harsh winters to earn an MFA at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah\, Georgia. While in the South\, Erica played violin in a number of professional symphony orchestras\, including the Hilton Head Symphony and Savannah Philharmonic\, both of which she also served as Orchestra Librarian.\n\nJOEY THIEMAN\nJoey Thieman is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter based in Boston\, MA. His forthcoming album “Letters\, Words\, Sentences\, Songs” is a culmination of his years of experience exploring and performing in different musical genres\, artfully weaving together influences from folk\, jazz\, and rock for an original take on the age-old story of love and loss.
